In the cloudy corners of my digital studio, I sculpt figures and philosophies. Each character that emerges from my 3D world carries a narrative far more profound than its surface suggests, one that delves into the stark realities of our modern existence.
My journey into the realm of darker, edgier 3D characters began with a question: What if the familiar faces of our childhoods grew up in the world as we know it today? What tales would they tell? As I blend nostalgia with a contemporary edge, my creations speak to the transformation of innocence into experience, of simple joys into complex societal narratives.
For instance, take my reinterpretation of a classic cartoon duck.
Traditionally seen as a beacon of humor and mischief, I have reimagined him as a magnate, a mogul of the modern age. Here, the smoke curling from his cigar is not just a visual effect but a metaphor for the smog of industry, the intoxicating allure of power and prestige that often clouds our moral compass.
My creative process for these characters is contemplative, often beginning with a meditation on current events or personal reflections on societal shifts. As I mold and manipulate pixels, I consciously embed each curve and contour with intention, allowing the figures to evolve into embodiments of our collective psyche. They are icons of satire, dripping with the irony of a society that is both enamored by and wary of affluence and influence.
This is the essence of my art—provocation through the familiar, conversation through the visual, and introspection through the digital. In every shadowed line and gilded texture, there is a story waiting to be unveiled, a critique nestled within the caricature. They stand, these digital residents, at the intersection of art and philosophy, a crossroad where the brush stroke meets the byte.
